Parks and Spaces specialise in grounds maintenance and sports turf construction and renovations. Our main point of focus being on schools, councils, golf courses and croquet clubs.

Our work covers all facets of sports turf development and management, from irrigation repairs, maintenance and installation, drainage, sand and soil spreading and levelling, aerating, seeding, fertilising, spraying, turfing and grass cutting.
Our management team, Dave Biddle and Roger Heywood, have worked together for over 16 years in the Bay of Plenty and Waikato area, where prior to starting Parks and Spaces Limited in 2024, Dave was the Operations Manager and Roger the Project Manager for another key industry player.
The team’s knowledge and experience that has been gained over this period, now allows us to understand the best answers to client’s problems.
As an example of finding the best answer for our clients, was in 2025, where we worked with the Ministry of Education at Te Kura o te Whanau-a-Apanui in Te Kaha, to correct many issues they had with their sports field. This involved rolling, aerating, soiling and seeding, fertilising and weed spraying. We then worked with the client to help upskill the Kura and the Caretaker on how to maintain and manage the field going forward, given their isolated location.
Parks and Spaces are SHE qualified and manage Health and Safety carefully with our staff, sub-contractors and clients. This is a critical part of our business, where most of the sites we are engaged to do work for are schools and public spaces. Our health and safety co-ordinator has over 10 year’s experience of health and safety within the sports turf industry.
